Lost and Found was the project I pursued while an artist-in-residence at Can Serrat in El Bruc Spain. Can Serrat is situated in a country estate that is a short walk into town and about 50 minutes by bus from Barcelona as well as in close proximity to the mountain top monestary Monserrat. I examined the sense of well-being that this place and region exuded, for me it was amplified by the contrast with my daily urban life in San Francisco. I collected found materials and created artwork based on my walks, conversations, and visits to marketplaces. This work became foundational in my ongoing cross-cultural investigations of ecosystems and well-being.
